“The goal is simple. Better than yesterday. Every. Single. Day.”

I totally DISAGREE! Health doesn’t really work on a 24-hour performance review.

Your energy, digestion, sleep, symptoms and training can fluctuate from one day to the next, even when you’re doing all the right things.

So comparing today with yesterday often tells you very little.

Better questions would be: what has changed over the last four weeks?
Are you sleeping more consistently? Recovering faster? Having fewer symptoms? Feeling stronger? Making choices with less effort?

Don’t grade your health one day at a time.
Zoom out and look for the pattern.
Progress is a trend, not a daily result.

Your symptoms may be connected. But connected doesn’t mean they all have one cause.

Bloating can be influenced by constipation, food, motility, stress, your cycle and how sensitive the gut has become.

An energy crash might relate to sleep, blood-sugar changes, iron levels, under-eating or something else entirely.

And while our gut bacteria does participate in estrogen metabolism, the estrobolome is only one part of a much bigger hormonal picture not an explanation for every mood, skin or cycle symptom.

This is why I don’t believe in looking at one symptom and immediately removing another food.

The more useful place to start is the pattern:
When did it begin? Does it change across your cycle? What happens when you’re stressed? How are you sleeping? What are your bowel habits like? What consistently makes it better or worse?

Your symptoms aren’t random but they aren’t a diagnosis either. They’re information that needs context.

Comment GUT and I’ll send you the link to book a free 30-minute call. We’ll start mapping your pattern and work out what deserves attention first.

Food is never just about what’s on the plate.

It’s also the people you’re with, how relaxed you feel, whether you enjoy the meal and whether you’re already worrying about what you “should” or “shouldn’t” be eating.

The gut and brain are constantly communicating. So if eating has become a long list of rules, guilt and restriction, adding even more “healthy” meals may not be the solution.

You can eat the most nutritionally perfect plate in the world, but if the process is making you anxious and miserable, it probably isn’t a sustainable way to support your health.

Sometimes eating well looks like protein and vegetables. Sometimes it looks like ordering a little bit of everything, laughing with people you love and thoroughly enjoying dessert.

Both can belong. Both are right. Both are NECESSARY.

The three habits most likely keeping your gut reactive have nothing to do with food.

Eating at your desk.
Skipping meals.
Sleeping under 7 hours.

Each one keeps your nervous system in a state that prevents gut repair.

Clean up these 3 before adding another supplement.

Save this. Share it with someone who has changed their diet and is still struggling.

Strength training became important to me for reasons that had very little to do with fitness or trends.

Living with endometriosis meant dealing with pain, fatigue and days when I felt that my body was working against me.

Strength training didn’t cure my endo or magically “balance” my hormones. But it helped me support my body in ways I hadn’t fully understood before.

When we talk about hormone health, we tend to think only about estrogen and progesterone. But insulin and cortisol are hormones too and strength training can influence how our body responds to both.

Our muscles use a significant amount of glucose. As we build and use them, they become better at taking glucose out of the bloodstream, which can improve insulin sensitivity and reduce how hard the body has to work to manage blood sugar.

Exercise also gives the body a short, controlled dose of stress. Over time, regular movement can help improve how we respond to other stressors, rather than promising to keep cortisol permanently “low”, which isn’t the goal anyway.

Then there’s bone health. Loading the muscles also loads the bones, helping them stay strong. That’s especially relevant because some hormonal treatments used for endometriosis can affect bone density.

None of this means strength training directly fixes the estrogen-driven biology of endometriosis. The evidence isn’t there.

For me, it’s simply another way to support the systems that hormone health depends on.

Not a punishment. Not a cure. Just one tool that has genuinely helped me feel stronger and better supported in my body.

Elimination diets.
Probiotics.
Hot/Cold exposure.
Hormone testing.
Gut supplements.

None of these are wrong.

They're all missing the same thing: the nervous system as the foundation.

When the nervous system is dysregulated, the environment that all of these need to work in doesn't exist yet.

That's the piece most protocols skip.

Save this. Share it with someone who has tried all of these and is still where they started.

Mind. Body. Soul.
We often separate these for convenience, but the body doesn’t experience life in separate compartments.

A walk can be physical activity, time in daylight, nervous-system downshift and connection with someone you love, all at once.

Dancing at a concert may not look like a wellness practice, but it can give you movement, pleasure, belonging and a break from mental load.

Sometimes one life-giving activity supports more parts of us than five habits performed from obligation.

My favourite kind of wellness is the kind that doesn’t feel like another job.

Most gut reactions at restaurants aren't just from the actual food, they're from your nervous system and/or in a lot of cases the sauces.

Seed oils, emulsifiers, and restaurant marinades are the hidden variables most people never consider.

Ask for sauces on the side.
Reach for protein first.
Arrive hydrated.

Save this for your next dinner out.

Some days the gym and I attract each other like magnets.
Other days, the relationship requires A LOT work. 😂

I used to think consistency meant feeling equally motivated every time. It doesn’t.

Motivation changes with sleep, stress, hormones, workload and whatever else life has thrown at you that week. So STOP expecting every “wellness” habbit to feel the same.

Sometimes I train hard. Sometimes I do less. Sometimes showing up is the whole achievement.
The habit doesn’t need to look identical to remain intact.

That’s the part we often miss: consistency IS NOT doing the maximum EVERYTIME. It’s having a version of the habit you can still do when the maximum isn’t available.

The first 60 minutes of your morning set the conditions your gut operates in all day.

Natural light before phone.
Water before coffee.
Eating without a screen in front of you.

These are not wellness aspirations, they are inputs that change gut function.

Save this. Share it with someone whose mornings are unknowingly working against them.
