A steep front yard and a customer who did not want fence brackets. Here is how we made it work.
This custom vertical slat fence uses 65x16mm aluminium slats at an 8mm gap, in a fully welded 50mm square aluminium frame. On a slope like this one, brackets would have left the gaps varying from panel to panel, and that was the one thing the customer did not want to see.
So every panel was made to its own size and rake. Level across the top, raked and tapered along the bottom to follow the ground, with plates welded on so each panel screws straight to the post. The gaps stay consistent across the whole front yard.
Either side of the driveway there is a single corner panel with a step cut-out in the bottom. We kept the slat gaps consistent through the corner as well, so the two sides match.
All of it was fabricated to the customer's measurements at our Deception Bay workshop.
Got a sloping block? Comment or send us a message with a photo and the rough fall across the fence line, and we will tell you what we can make.
