Wow what a rippa

20.10.26 - Bannockburn. Tiger Snake. 🐍

7am. Call out this morning after a lady spotted a snake at her back door before it disappeared into a rosemary bush.

She did an amazing job keeping an eye on the bush and watching for any movement until I arrived. 👏✔️

This one was no ordinary tiger snake! I’m confident in saying this is the most beautiful tiger snake I’ve ever caught! 🥰

Just look at that incredible colouration! 😍🐯 What an absolute beauty!

Another snake safely caught and relocated, protecting people, pets and wildlife. 🫶

📍 Warwick way.

Today’s call was a little different from the usual snake relocations. 🐾

A gentleman was cutting down several yuccas in his front yard when, just before he started on the last one, he noticed a tiny head poking out from the top.

It wasn’t a snake… it was a ringtail possum. 🥰

Unsure who to call, he remembered he’d picked up one of my business cards and gave me a call to see if I could help.

As a licensed wildlife controller, I regularly deal with possums also.

Normally, possums aren’t meant to be relocated. However, in this situation it was the only practical option so the yucca could be safely removed without harming the animals.

When I arrived, I quickly realised it wasn’t just one possum… Mum had two beautiful little joeys clinging tightly to her back. 🥰

After a bit of chasing around the yucca, all three were safely secured and relocated to a dense, bushy tree roughly 50 metres down the road, where they could continue on safely.

Jobs like these are a great reminder to always take a quick look before cutting down trees, shrubs or dense plants. You never know what might be calling them home.

And because they were possums, there was no charge.
Just happy to see this little family get a safe outcome. ❤️
