Working Bee Sat 13th June,
9 am start, with crepes for lunch. Everyone is welcome.
We have already cut down all dahlias (seeds saved for anyone who wants). We had a lot of rain, so everything was getting mushy. Jobs for the day will include digging dahlias from a couple of beds; these need to be raised over winter. The other rows will be covered to protect them from excessive winter rain, to be dug later in August.
We will start with demonstrations on dividing dahlias. There are a lot of seedlings I am not keeping that are great for practice. If you have a clump at home you would like a hand with, then please bring it along. We will disinfect all tools, and my methylated spirits spray will be at hand.
Come and join in the fun, learn, make friends and have a good feed for lunch.

Thanks for the great support with the recent pre-sale most listing offerings were sold out in no time at all. Now I’m onto seed saving. All surfaces covered with drying named varieties and luckily no breezes inside to disturb. Almost done, just waiting on Formby Duke who is resisting any seed production so far. Xx
