The doors on this cabinet are at the back. That was the customer's idea, not ours, and it is the best thing about the whole job.
Here is the problem it solves. Swords sit on horizontal stands, three or four to a shelf. Load that from the front and every time you want the blade at the rear you are reaching your hands over the ones in front of it. Over a collection like this, that is how things get knocked.
Put the doors on the back instead and the front becomes one uninterrupted sheet of glass. Nothing to slide, nothing to reach through, nothing between you and the display.
Second thing worth noticing: the shelf gaps are all different heights. Tall at the top for the long sabres, tighter in the middle for the katanas, and a deep bay at the bottom for the floor stand. The shelves are adjustable on every one of our cabinets and almost nobody sets them up properly. This customer did.
One thing to be straight about: this is an older cabinet. The corner strips are the SMD type we fitted back then, so you can pick out the individual diodes in the photo. Cabinets going out today use COB strips — one continuous line of light, no dots.
