🏗️ Big projects. Expert installation.

We're proud to be contributing to the new Kmart Group Distribution Centre at Sydney's Moorebank Intermodal Precinct, working alongside project partner ESR.

Our Birrus Installation Team has been onsite installing multiple ULTRAMAT Entrance Matting Systems, coordinating with other construction trades to deliver professional installations as part of this major development.

Designed for demanding commercial environments, ULTRAMAT combines durability, effective dirt and moisture control, and a quality architectural finish.

It's another example of how Birrus supports major construction projects with more than just quality products - providing experienced installation teams who understand the demands of working on busy construction sites.

👏 Great work by our installation team!

🏡 Thoughtful design for a welcoming community.

Set amongst beautifully landscaped grounds in Sydney’s leafy Ashfield, Levande Cardinal Freeman offers a contemporary approach to retirement living, combining stylish residences with exceptional lifestyle and community facilities.

Birrus is proud to have supplied ULTRAMAT entrance matting systems for this impressive retirement living community.

Designed to complement quality architectural finishes, ULTRAMAT provides a durable, attractive entrance solution that helps capture dirt and moisture before it enters the building, keeping interior spaces cleaner and more welcoming for residents and visitors alike.

It's another example of how the right entrance matting contributes to spaces designed for comfort, quality and everyday living.

Luxury starts at the entrance.

In premium hotels, spas and wellness spaces, every material choice plays a part in the experience, including what’s underfoot.

Birrus Earthstone brings a refined, textile-like aesthetic to the entrance, with understated colours and texture designed to complement sophisticated interiors rather than compete with them.

Behind that softer appearance is the performance required from commercial entrance matting, including HydroTX™ technology for enhanced moisture capture and regenerated ECONYL® nylon yarn.

Beautifully considered. Commercially capable.

🏨 A great first impression starts at the entrance!

We're pleased to have supplied and installed our ULTRAMAT Entrance Matting System at the new ATURA Oran Park hotel in Southwest Sydney.

With its contemporary design and welcoming atmosphere, ATURA Oran Park is all about creating a great guest experience, right from the moment visitors arrive.

For this project, our ULTRAMAT system was installed over a recessed matting well incorporating our DURAGRID drainage system. This clever combination helps capture dirt and moisture at the entrance while allowing rainwater to drain away beneath the matting.

The result? A stylish, durable entrance solution that looks great and works hard behind the scenes.

A softer welcome for beautifully considered spaces.

From exclusive hotels and luxury retreats to spas and wellness destinations, the entrance sets the tone for everything that follows.

Birrus Earthstone combines refined texture and understated colour with the practical performance required at a busy entrance - helping create a transition that feels considered, calm and entirely at home in premium interiors.

Its HydroTX™ technology provides enhanced moisture capture underfoot, while regenerated ECONYL® nylon yarn offers a more considered approach to material selection.

Designed for spaces where every detail contributes to the experience.

Natural texture. Practical performance. A contemporary finish.

Birrus supplied and installed a series of dyed black coir entrance matting systems at the Ascham School Fiona Building.

Made from natural coconut fibre, coir provides a coarse, durable surface that helps brush dirt and debris from footwear at the entrance. The dyed black finish retains that distinctive natural texture while giving the matting a more refined, contemporary appearance suited to modern educational environments.

A natural material, used in a way that complements the architecture around it.

A heritage entrance deserves a system that respects the architecture around it.

Birrus was pleased to supply and install our ULTRAMAT Entrance Matting System at 343 George Street, Sydney, as part of the latest refurbishment works completed in August 2026.

Constructed between 1921 and 1925 and formerly known as Barrack House, 343 George Street is a significant heritage-listed commercial building overlooking Martin Place. The recent works focused on preserving and renewing the building’s George and Barrack Street façades, including sandstone repairs, window restoration and new façade lighting.

For a building of this calibre, the entrance treatment needs to perform without detracting from the character of the space. ULTRAMAT provides a robust, integrated entrance matting solution suited to the demands of a high-traffic C*D commercial environment.

Proud to contribute to the ongoing renewal of one of Sydney’s landmark commercial buildings.

Community spaces deserve entrances designed for the people who use them every day.

Birrus is proud to have supplied and installed entrance matting at the new Sharks Leagues Club at Woolooware Bay, a venue that has been designed as much more than a club, bringing together sport, hospitality, families and the wider Sutherland Shire community.

For busy community destinations like this, a well-designed entrance matting system helps create a welcoming first impression while standing up to the constant foot traffic that comes with bringing people together.

Great to play a small part in the next chapter of such an important local destination.

Heritage destination. 🚂
Contemporary entrance.

Birrus ULTRAMAT Entrance Matting has been installed at the Lakeside Visitor Centre at Puffing Billy Railway, in Melbourne’s Dandenong Ranges.
⛰️🌲

The striking contemporary building sits alongside one of Victoria’s most recognisable heritage attractions, creating a meeting point between old and new.

ULTRAMAT continues that considered approach at ground level - integrating neatly into the entrance while providing a durable system designed for the constant flow of visitors arriving to explore the railway, visitor centre and surrounding Emerald Lake Park.

A small architectural detail doing an important job at one of Victoria’s great visitor destinations.

A natural welcome for a place designed around rest, ritual and reconnection. 🌿

Ahead of the October opening of Sense of Self Surry Hills, Birrus Coir Matting has been incorporated into the new Sydney bathhouse.

Made using natural coconut coir fibre, the matting brings warmth, texture and an honest material quality to the entrance - a fitting complement to a space where the experience is deliberately slower, calmer and more considered.

Sometimes the materials you encounter first help set the tone for everything that follows.
