One of my funniest business moments happened when our beautiful Scentsy Fragrance Flowers were brand new.

I was at a business event and had placed my Fragrance Flowers on top of the toilets to make the bathroom smell beautiful.

I was so excited about our new product and wanted everyone to experience it for themselves.

So off I went, inviting people to come and have a look.

Except what actually came out of my mouth initially was, “Come with me to the bathroom and smell my flower!”

You can imagine the reaction. The place erupted with laughter!

There I was, genuinely trying to share a beautiful new fragrance product and completely unaware of how my invitation sounded.

It taught me that sometimes the best business moments aren't the perfect presentations. They're the real, unexpected moments that make people laugh, remember you and feel comfortable around you.

Fifteen years in business and I've learned that you don't have to be perfect to be good at what you do. Sometimes being willing to laugh at yourself is what makes you memorable.
