Brushbox Floor Restoration ✨

This Brushbox timber floor had previously been sanded and coated with a water-based polyurethane finish, but after just a few years the coating had yellowed, deteriorated and simply wasn’t standing the test of time.

We’ve now brought it back to bare timber, carefully re-sanded the entire floor and restored the natural beauty and character of the Brushbox.

A fresh start for this beautiful timber — removing the failed coating and giving the floor the attention it deserved using a three coat system of PROCOAT AUSTRALIA waterbase polycarbonate system in a satin finish.

The transformation is a great reminder that the right preparation and coating system makes all the difference when it comes to the longevity and appearance of a timber floor.

✨ Tallowood Parquetry — brought back to life.

This floor received some careful minor board repairs, followed by detailed gap filling and a full sand to restore the natural beauty of the timber.

To finish it off, we applied a water-based UltraMatt coating, leaving a clean, contemporary look while keeping the character and warmth of the Tallowood timber on show.

From tired and worn to smooth, refined and ready for years of use. 👌

From oil-based pigmented stains that bring out the richness and grain of the timber, to water-based and spirit-based colour stains for a different look and finish — every floor is treated as its own project.

We carefully stripped the past away, patched up the rotted sections with fresh boards, and gave it a full sand.

To achieve that ultra-clean, modern aesthetic without losing the timber's natural soul, we coated it with a Procoat Invisible and Whitener finish. This keeps the hoop pine beautifully light, bright, and safe for years to come.
