Conversion of the measurements/dimensions from IMPERIAL to METRIC. to keep in mind:

in the actual formula, 1 inch = 25.4 mm.
in practice, 1 inch = 25 mm.

in the actual formula, 1 foot = 304.8mm.
in practice, 1 foot = 300 mm.

for my personal work convenience, i always remember that
4 inches = 100mm.

many of the newly graduated engineers/drawing specialists get confused/embarrassed while they are instructed to convert the dimensions from one to another.
