I HAVE AN ANNOUNCEMENT ✨

Make your own evergreen wreath workshops are so back and we are so excited!
We’ll be hosting them again at the awesome MASCOT BREWERY ☞ B**r •Bottle Shop •Resto Etobicoke location and we’ve got 4 dates to choose from.
I will bring all supplies and guide you through creating your very own fresh evergreen wreath, complete with your own personalizations like pine cones, lotus pods, berries, dried elements etc etc.
All of the evergreen materials are grown in Warkworth, ON and cut fresh for us every year.
These wreaths are designed to be enjoyed outside and as such will last well into the new year.
No experience is necessary and it promises to be a super fun and festive time!
So grab a pal, or come on your own, but bring a positive and open attitude and you’ll surely create a beautiful wreath, completely unique to you 🥰

It’s no secret, I absolutely love growing tulips and I want to share that passion with you.
I’ve got a small selection of specialty tulip bulbs available for sale through the website.
These are the same gorgeous tulips I grow myself and not typical varieties you would expect to find in the store.

A year in local blooms, month six, October ✨

The last subscription bouquets of the season are being delivered this week and we’re going out with a BANG!
Everyone gets pumpkin on a stick grown by Creek Valley Gardens 🎃
Yes they are real and last a long time and are super cool!
The stems are also very thorny so please be careful when handling them!
We’ve also got my dahlias and ninebark in there.
Plus some buttery lisianthus from Rosa Flora Limited 🧈
And last but not least, a special, local bouquet wouldn’t be complete without flowers from Mon Amie FrenchBlooms who came through with the celosia, strawflower and cosmos.
Lots of interest and texture for this final bouquet 🫰🏽

I love growing and curating the most special and unique blooms for you to enjoy each month.
So excited for next year and to do it all over again.

Thanksgiving flowers ✨

The beautiful holiday is upon us and there will be lots of thoughtful, local flowers to go around.

I plan on having 2 main colourways:

Saturday, October 10th with Fashion Truck Canada Back Road Coffee Roasters 🇨🇦 from 9-3. I’ll be there with single variety bouquets for $25 and mixed bouquets for $30/$50.

Sunday, October 11th SPINCO OAKVILLE from 9-1. I’ll have single variety bouquets for $25, mixed bouquets for $30/$50 and unique vase arrangements for $80.

It will be first come first served, but if you want to send me a dm to place a pre-order, I’ll happily accept some. Please send by eod Thursday, October 8🫶🏼

Mental health is health ✨

A couple Sundays ago, we brought together over 60 people, to celebrate and honour the life of a beautiful soul, taken far too soon.
We laughed and we cried and stories and memories were fondly shared, over beautiful, local flowers.

Everyone created their own unique to them flower arrangement, with some guidance from yours truly.
For me, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and so I encouraged every participant to let their creativity and individuality shine through their arrangement - using the local flowers as a way of expressing what words sometimes, cannot 🤍

All of the beautiful flowers we worked with were locally grown, with many donated by some wonderful flower growers: FrenchBlooms flora grey Terra Nota Flowers | Flower Farm We are so grateful for the support and could not have done this without you!

Together, we raised over $7000 for CAMH Foundation

This was such an important project for me both personally and professionally and it was an honour to be a part of🤍

Intimate September wedding ✨

I love flowering your special events of all shapes and sizes, but smaller, intimate asks are my love language ❤️
This past weekend I made a bridal bouquet and a complementary MOH bouquet in these rich September tones.
Most of the dahlias, lisianthus, jazzy zinnias and jewels of opar were grown by yours truly.
The balance karma chocolate dahlias, cosmos, celosia, queeny zinnias and eucalyptus are from mon Amie FrenchBlooms 🥰
You give me the vibes and colour palette and I’ll find you the most beautiful, locally grown blooms ✌🏽

A year in local blooms, month five, September ✨

I’m struggling to find the words of what I’d like to call these, other than some of my fave bouquets that I’ve ever made 🥰

They’re so limey and juicy and berry-riffic 🍓🍏🍇🍒🥝

My homegrown PNC, Nat G, Salish twilight & Jowey Winnie dahlias. Along with my frilly and floriferous lisianthus.
Finished off with some zinnia and aster treasures from Mon Amie Louise FrenchBlooms 💜
Plus some brainy celosia from J. R. Vyn Inc.
These local flowers are ELITE and I dare you to try and tell me otherwise 😏

Let’s talk lisianthus ✨

A truly beautiful & premium flower, but requires loads of patience to grow 🫠 Also known as eustoma | prairie gentian

So many things to love about lisianthus, let’s count the ways;
💕long vase life - 14+ days (one of the longest in the game)
💕long and strong, branching stems
💕multiple blooms per stem, I harvest with 3+ open
💕flowers are sturdy and a staple in my boutonnières
💕so many varieties and colours with new ones every year
💕available as plugs so I can plant out right away

These reasons alone are enough to make lisianthus a premium flower, but growing them isn’t a walk in the park and they require constant care;
🫠 Plants are started in Jan. and start blooming in Aug.
🫠 They need a long and cool start, planted out in April
🫠 Netting is required for support & to keep plants straight
🫠 Patience required to wait for right time to harvest
🫠 Only get a single flush from planting

These are some of my favourite flowers and even with all of the effort, I will always grow them.
I am so happy to get plugs each season and have someone else get them started for me.
I’ll be preparing my order in the coming weeks and look forward to trying some new varieties next season ✌🏽

A year in local blooms, month four, August ✨

Fluffy and dancey, I loved making these subscription bouquets jam packed with all the local goodness.

From our gardens, I used the first of the ruffly ch*****ne lisianthus, little lime hydrangeas and 6 different dahlia varieties!
Platinum blonde dahlias are true standouts this year and are growing so tall and strong. I can’t stop looking at them and think of them as a fluffy fried egg 🍳😆

To help round out the look and add the dancing element, thanks to my pal Louise FrenchBlooms for the gorgeous celosia, cosmos and scabiosa!

Local flowers seriously rule ✌🏽
