Semi-hardwood cuttings taken early August (zone 5b) of japanese maple, half moon maple, and some Korean maples

Looking good - new growth is a good sign but not many roots visible just yet.

We use a simple propagation box with mostly perlite and a bit of composted peat (see here for a bit more on our prop box: https://youtu.be/9SnksPQ1YgY?si=sy8aNhgl_YbyTJod)

We wet the medium, remove some leaves, scratch the cutting, dip the cutting in rooting hormone, stick it, seal the lid and leave it be (another video here on this: https://youtu.be/yEEb354S7EQ?si=ztnoU2dOXr7Dfont)

Real test will be how they make it through the winter as they'll stay out here all season till we pot them up in spring.
