Also. Advice please! If I cut these hydrangeas from our garden today and put them in this brass coal bucket without water, will they still look cute as they dry out? Or should I hang to dry? Or something else entirely? TIA

I took a ā€œwrong turnā€ on the way to my friendā€™s house a couple of weeks ago. As I was getting back on track I drove by a house that had balloons on the end of the front fence. It was a Tuesday so I kept on driving. But then I thoughtā€¦ maybe I was meant to take this turn and it wouldnā€™t hurt to turn around and just see. I parked a few house down - behind a license plate with the numbers 555. I peaked up toward the open gate into the backyard and saw so many paintings! I wandered back and no one was there, but the paintings were too good not to browse ā€¦ and I figured balloons were basically a universal sign for garage sales so I stayed. Finally a man came out. He was an art collector and had such a passion for collecting it. He called himself an ā€œart rescuerā€ because through the years heā€™s collected frames and matched them to frameless artworks. I purchased these 2 pieces of art and 2 gorgeous pieces of Brazilian soapstone. It was a good reminder that not all ā€œwrong turnsā€ are actually wrong turns. Sometimes the detours are where the magic happens. āœØ

SEPTEMBER - Feeling grateful for the highlights and everything in between - even the messy bitsā€¦ and boyā€¦ it felt like there were a lot of messy bits!

The highlights: my most successful market yet with Queen City Vintage and Antique Market, partnering with The Environmental Collective and donating some of my profits to help other local sustainability projects, sending my guy off to grade 3, over 2000 people following my page, fell in love with some new-to-me pieces of history, family time, new connections and so much hope for the future. šŸŒŽšŸŒ±āœØ

Sometimes I look back at these photos and thinkā€¦ Why/How did I get rid of that?! šŸ˜†

Then I remember there are literally SO many great items out there waiting for their next chapter and I feel so grateful that I get to help people add beauty and function to their homes WHILE shopping sustainably and it makes me feel better!

Which of these items is your fav? I love them all, but the Wedgwood chocolate brown Pennine cups and saucers really do it for me. šŸ˜
