Often times I will get comments that clients think their job is too small, their budget isn’t big enough, or if there are certain things that need to stay, then that disqualifies them from working with Me.

The opposite couldn’t be more true. And this little ditty of a kitchen renovation is the perfect example of what you CAN do - even with a budget, with floors that need to stay, with imperfectly imperfect ceilings.

The most badass part? My client (and my friend 🙏🏻) did most of this herself! The look on my face when she said to me, “yeah - I want to stone the chimney so I’m just going to do that”

I’m no stranger to getting my hands dirty but Kim takes it to the next level.

Her new kitchen is so functional. It’s cozy. It’s homey. Her timeless sense of style stamped all over it. I’m honored to have helped her pull this together ❤️

👉🏻 Swipe. Swipe. And swipe again.

Americana + Plush Forest by Kitch just might be my favourite colour combination these days. This client knew what they wanted (the checkered floor and the plaster hood) and had a really fun aesthetic going in adjacent rooms that we wanted to complement.

What they didn’t know, was how to optimize the layout, how to create something that was functional AND beautiful, and how they’d get a custom look while flexing their DIY muscles.

That’s where I come in 😎

“Whatcha been up to?”

Mostly this.

Sketches that become homes. Renderings that become reality. Afternoon Americano-fueled design sessions. Site visits. Furniture sourcing. Client meetings. Laughing. A lot of laughing! And lots of details that nobody ever sees… but that somehow come together to create spaces where life happens for our clients.

Every project is different, but one thing never changes: I am constantly telling anyone who will listen that we have the BEST clients!!

And here You thought laundry rooms were just for laundry.

This was actually one of the very first projects I designed using Kitch. It was part of a full-home glow-up for Hayley over at Haley Ryan and I still remember walking that home in all of it’s pre-reno glory trying to figure out how we got the laundry out of the back hall on the main level and up into a fully-functioning laundry room.

And we did it. And it’s still one of my favorite laundry rooms to date.

✔️ Counter space for folding
✔️ Storage for all the random laundry room chaos
✔️ A place for baskets that doesn’t involve tripping over them
✔️ Still pretty enough that you don’t immediately want to close the door
