🌸 Out here harvesting tomorrow’s orders when I catch a praying mantis devouring a bee on a dahlia named "Mr. Optimist". 💀

The irony is THRIVING, the bee is not, and apparently this mantis woke up and chose violence. 😬

Garden friends from today's cleanup. 🥹

Garden cleanup is officially underway! We’ve chopped down 1/3 of our dahlias today, and in a week, the real fun begins… digging up all those tubers!

It’s not the glamorous side of flower farming, but it’s the behind-the-scenes work that helps bring you all those pretty blooms year after year.

🐝 We also took some time to stop and appreciate our pollinator friends, who are still having an absolute PARTY out there! 🥹 Turns out, the bees aren’t quite ready for the season to end, so we’re leaving the zinneas and 2/3 of the dahlias standing for now. The pollinators get to keep the party going a little longer!

🚨 Security apprehended a suspicious little hopper 🐸 After a thorough sniff-down, the suspect was deemed friendly and released without charges.

🥹 And just like that, we’re officially CLOSED for cut flowers for the season! 🌸

Also, I've decided this will be our last weekend for cut flowers! We are nearly out of jars, out of business cards, out of stickers, and ready for a break 😅 Flowers Saturday/Sunday or until we sell out.
