That was quite a storm that rolled through our area. With the tornado and severe weather causing damage around Harrowsmith, Verona, and the surrounding communities, we know a lot of folks are now dealing with damaged eavestrough, downpipes, soffit, and fascia.

‼️Attention Neighbours – Leaf Guard Pricing Alert ‼️

Some local homeowners have mentioned receiving very high quotes for leaf guard/filter installation in our area — in some cases, over four times what local companies typically charge per foot. We’ve heard that these companies may be aggressively flyering and advertising on social media.

While there’s nothing wrong with shopping around, it’s worth noting:

✅ Some of these companies may be based outside Canada, meaning your dollars may not stay in our community and could find their way south of the border.
✅ The products offered may not be as durable in some cases as those installed by local contractors. Some of these leaf guard/filter systems may be attached directly to the roof - which could affect certain roof warranties — check with your roofer!
✅ Local installers are often able to provide better and more timely warranty support and service after the job is done.

There are a number of reputable, locally-owned leaf guard installers you can choose from in our community. Always shop around — and ask about where the company is based, what product they use, and how it compares in lifespan and warranty to others.

After 36 years serving this amazing community, we are hanging up our tool belts - and retiring!

With happy hearts - and our full blessings - we are handing over the reins to Sydenham locals Will & Esther Hixon (you may already know Will from Frontenac Fix-It) They are bringing a strong background in renovation and home maintenance, fresh enthusiasm, and the same commitment to quality and customer care that’s been the core of our business from day one.

Here’s what’s not changing:
Our experienced and skilled Installers are staying on.
Our suppliers and materials remain the same.
Our contact info, services, and day-to-day operations are all staying consistent.
And most importantly—you’ll continue to receive the same efficient, friendly service you've come to count on.

We will be working alongside Will and Esther throughout the transition, and even after that, we’ll still be around to offer our knowledge, guidance and support as needed. We are so grateful for this opportunity to watch Rideau Rain Gutter continue to flourish and thrive under new leadership, allowing US the opportunity to make the most of our retirement years.
