Curved Architecture? A Rigid Wall Washer Isn't Always the Answer.

We recently received a customer request for lighting a project where flexibility and continuous wall washing are important.

For curved façades, arches, columns or irregular architectural details, traditional rigid fixtures can sometimes limit the lighting design.

10W or 25W Downlights — Which One Is Right for a Hotel?

In one of our recent hotel projects, a large number of 10W and 25W downlights are being used for different spaces.

The reason is simple: a hotel doesn't need the same light everywhere.

Different ceiling heights, functions and desired atmospheres require different lighting solutions.

And wattage is only the beginning.

Why does one linear light need different optical options?

Because different spaces need different light.

For general illumination, an opal diffuser provides clean and uniform light. For spaces where visual comfort matters more, UGR and honeycomb solutions provide additional glare control. Square-aperture optics offer another option when more defined light distribution is required.

That is why we don't look at linear lighting as simply a long LED fixture.

We look at the space, installation, light distribution and visual comfort first — then choose the right configuration.

Different lengths and control options are available for hotel, office and commercial lighting projects, including CCT tunable, DALI, TRIAC, Push and 0–10V options on applicable models.

Why Different Wall Washer Lengths for One Project?

Around 2,700 L01C LED wall washers are currently in production for one architectural lighting project — but they are not all the same length.

Some dimensions are customized according to the actual building.

Why?

Because real architecture rarely follows standard fixture sizes. Facade modules, window spacing, columns and installation positions can all affect the required length.

For a large project, the challenge isn't simply making different sizes.

It's making thousands of customized fixtures perform consistently together.

Light output, optics, color and appearance all need to work as one complete lighting system.

The building shouldn't have to fit the fixture.
The fixture should fit the architecture.

Don’t Start With the Fixture. Start With the Target.

When we receive a lighting project, we don't first ask:

“Which light should we use?”

We first look at the target.

How high is the building?
How far is the projection distance?
Where can the fixtures be installed?
Do we need a precise accent or a smooth wash?

Our recent projects show why this matters:

A 3.5° beam projected approximately 350m is a very different lighting approach from illuminating a 125m vertical facade.

Different targets require different optics, installation positions and aiming strategies.

Target → Distance → Position → Effect → Optics → Fixture

Good Lighting Doesn’t End with Installation. 🌙

Last night, our engineers were on site testing and fine-tuning the lighting.

Why is this step important?

Because drawings and calculations tell us where the light should go — but real-world testing shows us where it actually goes.

Beam direction, aiming angle, spill light and the final visual effect all need to be checked under real nighttime conditions.

Especially with precision and narrow-beam lighting, even a small adjustment can make a noticeable difference.

Design → Installation → Testing → Fine-tuning → Final Effect

For us, lighting is not finished when the fixture turns on.

It’s finished when the light is in the right place. 🎯
