Volmanova villa, surrounded by a huge park descending towards the Elbe — a house somewhere between modern industry, private life and the last traces of old-world elegance…

after decades of decline, it was brought back to life by Marek Tichý and TaK Architects — the same architect behind the recent transformation of Prague’s former InterContinental into Fairmont Golden Prague

And right now, talented František Jungvirt’s new lighting pieces make the interiors feel unexpectedly contemporary again.

I hope the villa has a beautiful second life 🤍

Art in Artium — an unexpected encounter 🤍

Currently on view last 2 days is “Láska” — an exhibition by Alessandra Svatek and Matěj Hrbek, set within Artium’s extraordinary indoor landscape, Epifyt.

And that’s what makes ARTium so special. You might simply be passing through and suddenly find yourself surrounded by art.

No museum doors to walk through, no special occasion needed - just art woven into the architecture, waiting to surprise you along the way.

The Iceberg — a beautiful piece of the Arctic suspended from the ceiling of in Prague

As the light shifts from warm gold to cool, icy tones, it moves across the glass almost like the Northern Lights dancing over an Arctic landscape 🧊

Have you heard about this ?
Hotels are already offering dedicated night and morning rituals designed around restorative sleep and wellbeing.
For example, guests can book a sleep ritual combining sound, aromatherapy, nutrition, light and gentle movement.
Very interesting direction for the future hospitality 🧉

everything simply works and what stays with you is the feeling — almost like visiting good friends who somehow thought of everything before you arrived.

A restaurant concept developed for an international hospitality project.

The idea was to create an open, light-filled space where indoor and outdoor areas feel connected.

Designed as a contemporary hospitality space, rooted in the location and informed by the cultural identity of the space.

Financial Times called Kiefer a “master of spectacle” — and honestly, that’s probably the most accurate definition.
His work constantly balances somewhere between genius and overload.

But maybe this excess is exactly why people keep coming?
He builds art inside the wounded Sala delle Cariatidi in Milan, and the exhibition becomes even stronger.

Not an easy exhibition. But impossible to ignore.

A curated emotional world by Nina Yashar 🌟

Nilufar Depot is originally a former silver factory in Milan transformed into a collectible design gallery and immersive exhibition environment !

Here, hand-crafted collectible objects, sculptural lighting, floral mirrors and layered reflections create emotional atmosphere through materiality and curation.

The project brings together designers such as Bethan Laura Wood, Andrea Mancuso, david/nicolas and Allegra Hicks — each adding their own layer of craft, imagination and collectible design language.

Milan Design Week was full of ideas for hospitality & cool tools for atmosphere.

This lighting piece by Studio Waldemeyer at Rossana Orlandi gallery instantly reminded me of Ingo Maurer’s emotional lighting language — where light feels almost alive.

In bars, restaurants and lounges, statement lighting can become the emotional anchor of the space.
