Icon - Charlotte Perriand has been one of those designers I keep coming back to. Her pieces feel so contemporary, even though some of her designs were created nearly a hundred years ago. The classic silhouettes and choice of materials still feel very up to date and were revolutionary at the time. Beautiful retrospective dedicated to her work at Barcelona’s Joan Miró Foundation.

The light and neutral colour palette is complemented by cabinetry in warm Bolivian walnut. To add depth to the space, we played with different textures and contrasts: glossy wall tiles paired with smooth floor tiles and matt natural stone, and a textured fabric for the bench combined with soft linen window blinds.

To maintain the clean and minimalist aesthetic, a sufficient amount of storage was crucial. Spacious drawers below the sink and floor-to-ceiling cabinets were integrated into the design, with additional storage hidden beneath the seating bench.
