Jane has finished her wonderful dancer. Careful drawing from several photographs established the pose
Body colour was first applied followed really considered washes achieving the sense of moving layers of fabric. Great stuff.

Alastair has finished his landscape with lots of well observed texture and colour. Feeling he needed a bit more colour he added the balloons which created a joyous scene. It was a big painting too, well tackled.

The first of three talks in association with my exhibition takes place tomorrow night. Doors open at 6, all free.

The first of three,free talks accompanying my exhibition at the Plough,Torrington takes place this Friday
Although it is advertised as starting at 6. The doors do not actually open til 6 so there maybe a 15 minute wait to check set up.
That gives you time to.look at the work pn the walls.

Suzanne has completed her epic ,"hulls and ropes" piece.Amazing experimentation with paint to acheive the rust surfaces. Added to the hull work is the very close observation of rope and how it works and hangs. All this was aided by much sketchbook study. Brill.

Gil has finished her wonderful rock face painting. The textures and form of the rocks was created by scraping colours together on the canvas with pallet knives and card. Details were then brushed in. Great stuff.

Jo has completed her first landscape with Quay Drawing.Lots of good drawing and many try outs at colour mixing produced this great result. Well done.
