🤩 Massive transformation in Smithills using 's Portland Stone SR15 Silicone Thin Coat Render.

This project started with the complete removal of the old, weathered tile cladding. We stripped out all battens, felt and lead work before installing insulation between the joists and fitting new lead to ensure a solid, weatherproof build-up.

The insulation on the dormer was then covered with a vapour barrier and cement board system before beads and a reinforced mesh base coat was applied. We double meshed on the stress patches to prevent any cracks. After that we topped out the base coat ready to prime and thin coat in Ecorend's Portland Stone SR15 silicone thin coat render, giving the property a clean, modern appearance.

To create a seamless finish across the entire elevation, we also chipped back the existing stone cladding and incorporated it into the render system. This was primed, reinforced with a mesh scratch coat, re-primed and finished in the same silicone thin coat render to perfectly complement the dormer.

The transformation speaks for itself 🔥

It's going to look even better once the garage door and lower window frames are finished to match the new anthracite windows and front door, tying everything together beautifully.

Front finished in Westhoughton now the scaffold is down. We removed the old render as it was blown and looking worse for wear.

We replaced with Portland stone monocouche render and swapped the old shabby gutters and downpipes for new, painted the headers, sills and bricks below the dpc gloss black. We completed the front and rear to a high finish and the results speak for themselves 🤩

The back of the recent transformation completed over in Westhoughton. 🤩 We knocked off and re rendered in MR1 - Portland stone.

The old previous render had blown and was causing damp issues so we hacked off and replaced with a Monocouche system. We also replaced the old brown flakey gutters and downpipes for fresh new black ones and painted the headers, sills and waste pipe to match.

Another one completed over in Westhoughton this week. 🤩🌴 Ecorend MR1 - Buttercream

We ground out and repointed the top half and hacked off and re rendered the bottom as the customer was getting damp inside and wanted a glow up.

First render job of 2025 🥳
We battled through the terrible weather we’ve had recently and it’s finally been warm enough to get some render on the walls. 🌤️

We hacked off the previous pebble dash render, beaded, base coated, and topped out with chalk white MR1 to modernise this bungalow. 🏠

We knocked off the previous render, removed the Tudor boards and replaced with mr1 monocouche render.
