Sometimes, I walk around our new-build estate and notice how many houses still look pretty much exactly as they did when they were handed over. Almost like show homes 🥹
And honestly, I get it
Decorating an entire house from scratch can feel overwhelming. Where do you even start? And how do you make all those decisions without spending a fortune? 💸
For me, the answer was to take it one room at a time. No rush, no need to have the whole house figured out straight away.
Over the years, I’ve slowly transformed almost every room, adding colour, plants, wallpaper and all the little details that make it feel like us.
Looking back, it’s those gradual changes that have turned a blank new-build into a home that feels unapologetically ME 💛
So if you’re living in a new-build and wondering where to start, don’t feel like you have to do it all at once. Pick one room, make it yours, and go from there 😉
Are you a ‘plan the whole house first’ person, or a ‘one room at a time’ person? 👀💛
