Cardiff Half Marathon complete! 🏃‍♂️👏

A huge well done to Richard, who completed the Cardiff Half Marathon in support of Cost of Cancer, crossing the finish line in an official time of 2:02:48.

This was Cost of Cancer’s first year taking part in the Cardiff Half, raising vital funds to help families financially while undergoing cancer treatment.

Nicky Moss, Founder of Cost of Cancer, said:

“As a small charity, we are totally committed to helping families financially whilst undergoing treatment for cancer, and signing up for the Cardiff Half for the first time as a charity was really daunting.

“When Richard said yes, he would take part, I was really pleased. I know he does so much fundraising for various more well-known charities, and saying yes to our small charity really did mean the world to us.

“The funds he’s raised will allow us to keep helping families in need. Thank you, Richard.”

🔥 Chariots of Fire — what a day!

The results are in, and there were some seriously speedy legs from the Janus Technology crew! 🏃‍♂️💨

A huge congratulations to Richard’s team, who took the overall win, and to Nick, who clocked the fastest time of the day at an incredible 10:43! 🏆

Honourable mentions to Euan at 11:10 and L’il James at 11:29 — some very quick times all round.

We’re already thinking about next year… although we might have to make Nick run 100 miles the day before just to even things up a bit. 😉

Most importantly, a brilliant day with a brilliant group of people. Thanks to everyone who ran, supported and helped make it such a great event.

🏃 Team Janus is taking on Chariots of Fire 2026!

This Sunday, 20th September, two teams from Janus Technology will be taking part in Chariots of Fire at Queen’s Green, Cambridge, raising money in support of the British Heart Foundation. ❤️

One of Cambridgeshire’s largest annual charity events, Chariots of Fire sees teams of six take on a 1.7-mile relay course through Cambridge’s historic city centre, university colleges, over the Cam and along the Backs.

We’ll have 12 Janus runners taking part across two teams, with Richard and Matthew completing the final legs. A brilliant opportunity to come together as a team while supporting an important cause.

📢 We’re hiring: Test Engineer & Technical Author

Janus Technology is looking for a hands-on Test Engineer & Technical Author to join our team in Sawston, Cambridge.

We develop smart-home integrations, AV control drivers and building management solutions used by installers and integrators across the industry. As part of our small team, you’ll have the opportunity to see your work make a real difference.

The role combines product testing, technical support and documentation, including:

🔹 Testing drivers and integrations across platforms such as Control4, RTI and Crestron
🔹 Investigating issues, analysing results and helping developers verify fixes
🔹 Supporting installers and integrators with setup and troubleshooting
🔹 Creating installer guides, user guides and knowledge-base content
🔹 Producing step-by-step setup and troubleshooting videos

We’re looking for someone with experience in software testing, QA, technical support or a similar hands-on technical role, along with strong communication skills and attention to detail. Experience with smart-home and AV technologies is a bonus, but you don’t need to tick every box.

📍 Sawston, Cambridge – in person
💷 £30,000–£35,000 per year
