The fireworks have waited more than 400 years. They can wait another few seconds while you secure the house.

Not everyone enjoys Things That Go Bang in the Night.

Fireworks can be unsettling for pets, so bring them indoors before the displays begin. Close the windows and doors, draw the curtains, create a familiar place where they can settle and stay nearby if they need reassurance.

Then close your Gerda with a solid THUNK and spend the evening together.

Sometimes, the best place to enjoy Bonfire Night is safely and comfortably at home.

But inside, the film is on, the sweets are open and the family is safely home.

Things may go bump in the night.

The clocks have gone back.

The nights are drawing in.

And something appears to be howling at the bottom of the garden.

Whether it is a werewolf, the neighbour’s dog or someone who has just received their latest energy bill, the solution is the same:

Close your Gerda with a reassuring THUNK, put the kettle on and remain indoors until morning.

At least, we think they’re the neighbours…

When an unexpected crowd begins gathering on the front lawn after dark, there is something especially reassuring about a door engineered using steel and aluminium.

Then leave the zombies to discuss among themselves who forgot the key.
