After 13 years, Monday was my last day at Maskells.
The Sales and Lettings teams have done a fabulous job and I’m proud to have been part of a team that delivered so many outstanding results for clients over the years and I am sure the team there will continue to do so.
But there comes a point where you have to back yourself, and more than that, back yourself alongside the person you most want to do it with, which for me is my wife, Emily Hope . Between us we’ve spent over 30 years building relationships in this industry, and in recent years, with the market about as tough as it has ever been, we’ve kept finding a way to cut through and deliver brilliant results. So we’re going to do it as a husband-and-wife team, in the most personal way we can. When the going gets tough it isn’t the name above the door that sells, it’s the people, and we are here to make a real difference to the lives of our future clients.
I’ve had the pleasure of doing deals alongside Emily, and for many years watching her be a brilliant agent. She is simply the most caring person I know, a brilliant mum and my soulmate. So much of this industry revolves around targets and numbers. But we care about the people, the human stories and being able to go to bed at night knowing you have really made the difference. If you put people first, the money takes care of itself. While we are sure that setting up as a husband-and-wife team will bring a unique set of challenges, there is nobody I would rather do it with.
Emily Hope and I are SO excited about the future.
