A little quiet moment at Mrs. Stitches 🧵☕🌿

The sewing table is clear, the machines are waiting, and another batch of repairs is finished.

Some days are full of complicated alterations, some are spent rescuing favourite clothes, and some are simply about enjoying the little workshop I've built.

One stitch at a time. ❤️

Not every sewing project goes according to plan… 😂🧵

Today's challenge? A seemingly simple cushion cover with piping.

Easy enough, right?

WRONG. 🤦‍♀️

The fabric stretched while sewing, the cushion ended up loose, the corners grew little ears, and no matter how much I adjusted it, something just wasn't right.

I measured. I adjusted. I stared at it. I questioned my life choices. 😂

Eventually, I decided the best thing I could do was walk away and have lunch.

And you know what? It worked.

I came back with a fresh head, tackled the problem again, and finally got the result I wanted. Even gave it a little karate chop for its final photoshoot! 🥋😂

This is the reality of running a small sewing business. Sometimes things go wrong. Sometimes you have to redo your own work. And sometimes the most productive thing you can do is put down the scissors and eat your lunch.

Because good craftsmanship isn't about never making mistakes. It's about caring enough to put them right. ❤️
