🌿 Hosta of the Week: ‘June’ 🌿
✨ A Variegated Vision of Grace and Strength ✨

Meet ‘June’, a true star in the world of hostas and one of the most celebrated cultivars ever introduced. With her shimmering, blue-green margins and chartreuse to golden centers, ‘June’ glows like morning light in the shade garden. Her colors shift subtly with the seasons, making her a dynamic presence — graceful, elegant, and always eye-catching. 🌤️

🧬 A Living Legacy
‘June’ is a sport of the beloved ‘Halcyon’, discovered in England and introduced by Geoff and June Garbutt of Neo Plants in the early 1990s. This cultivar quickly captured the hearts of gardeners for its striking variegation, slug resistance, and excellent performance in part shade.

Named after June Garbutt, this hosta is more than a plant — it’s a tribute, a memory, and a gift to gardeners worldwide. 💚

🌱 Why We Love ‘June’
✔️ Award-winning (named Hosta of the Year in 2001)
✔️ Compact yet lush — perfect for borders and containers
✔️ Tolerates some morning sun for brighter color
✔️ Strong, thick leaves — excellent pest resistance
✔️ Pairs beautifully with ferns, heuchera, and astilbe

✨ In the Garden
Use ‘June’ to draw the eye to a shady corner or anchor a container with seasonal companions. Her color contrast brings calm energy and brightness even on cloudy days. She’s proof that shade can shine.
