First Try at Hydroponics — Highly Recommend LetPot 🌱
-
“I have been gardening at various levels for 20 years. Used to be mainly herbs then tomatoes now a good bit more. I got the LetPot for Christmas (of course, I picked it out) and bought another a few weeks ago. It works great, is easy to assemble and is no trouble to work with.
-
The first round I planted lettuce and herbs, and now will plant one with herbs and one with lettuce alone. I potted up the basil and thyme to put in the ground when the weather is right.
-
I think the more I use it the more I will decide what vegetables/herbs work best for us inside. I suspect I will do some drawf tomatoes next or maybe strawberries. I highly recommend”

Reduce Algae in Your Hydroponic System ☀️
-
Placing a hydroponic system near a sunny window can make algae more likely to grow. Wet grow sponges and nutrient-rich water provide moisture and nutrients, while sunlight provides the light algae needs.
-
Keep direct sunlight away from wet areas of the system, cover exposed sponges and unused planting holes, and clean off visible algae before it spreads.
-
A small amount is usually not a major problem. Reducing light exposure is the simplest way to keep it under control. 🌱
