In 1786, Persian spice trader Majid Rostami arrived in India in his merchant caravan with a treasure: A Symphony of Spices. Mesmerised by the culinary tales of the ancient spice trade, he set up a humble stall, vowing to craft a recipe that bridged his heritage with his new home.
The masterpiece was a sublime take on his beloved dish. The true magic lay in his signature spices blend – a perfectly roasted mix of cumin, star anise, and dried lemon.
Locals called it ‘Jannat Ka Swad’ (the taste of paradise). Loved for his booming laugh and warm heart, Majid became ‘Bhai’ – a bother to all. As the years passed, Majid entrusted his secret blend to his children. Guarding this sacred heirloom, his descendants vowed to share its magic.
Bhai Briyani House was born- a tribute to the man who turned a stall into a legacy. From home kitchens to royal feats, it remains the soul of a perfect briyani – a taste born where Persia met India, and a legacy of flavours began.
