Last weekend, 24th October, we had the privilege to deliver 200 packs small chops for a big fashion show in Awka, Bosco Fashion Show.

Our small chops was served to the Elites and we also served VIP packages to their VIPs.

Behind every delivery are hours of preparation, attention to detail, and the responsibility of ensuring that what leaves our kitchen represents our brand well.

WHY IS YOUR MEAT PIE HARD LIKE STONE? 😭😂🥟

Baker, please! Who offended your meat pie? 😂😭

You want that buttery, crumbly pastry that melts in your mouth, but what comes out of the oven can almost be used to break a window! 🥹😂

Let’s check these 3 common mistakes.

1️⃣ TOO MUCH WATER 💧

Adding too much water can affect your pastry texture. Add it gradually and use just enough to bring the dough together. Your meat pie dough shouldn’t be as soft and stretchy as bread dough.

2️⃣ YOU OVERWORKED THE DOUGH 🥣

Once you add your liquid, mix gently until the dough comes together. Too much mixing develops gluten, which can make your pastry tough.

3️⃣ TOO MUCH BAKING POWDER 😩

Meat pie is not cake, my dear! 😂 Baking powder may be used in some recipes, but adding too much won’t magically give you a softer pastry. Follow your recipe’s measurements.

Kitchenlandlady’s tip: Keep your ingredients cold where your recipe calls for it, handle the dough gently, and avoid adding more flour or water than necessary.
