Before materials and finishes, there’s space planning, flow and the way a home works.

One of the things I love about visualising a space is imagining it coming to life before it even exists…🤎

This kitchen and a hot cup of coffee… 🤎

A coffee machine with the most beautiful finish. I mean, how beautiful is this? 😍

It’s details like these that bring an interior together and give it that little something extra.

Alabaster is one of those materials I could never get tired of. Especially when it’s used in lighting… 😌

In Paris for Paris Design Week & MAISON&OBJET last week.

Lots of design, wandering, and apparently some questionable road crossing habits. 🤫

I absolutely love what happens when colours, textures and surfaces come together. The deep green…soft neutrals…the tactile fabrics and the warmth of the wood all add something different. Layering them together brings depth and gives the space its character. 😌

Big part of my role is making things clearer.
I take all your ideas, questions, wishes and possibilities around a project and turn them into a design that brings them all together.

Because, let’s be honest, you want to enjoy your home, not get caught up in endless decisions and second guessing.

Look at the way the light moves across the space.

The deep warmth of the wood against the subtle veining of the stone. The texture of the fabric next to the smooth surfaces. The little reflections that appear as the light moves through the room.

It’s the relationship between these details that gives the space its feeling.

I think that paying attention to how a home will be experienced is just as important as making it aesthetically pleasing.

You come home with your hands full. Where do the keys go? Where do you put your bag? Do you walk straight to the kitchen, or pass through another room first? Where do you naturally stop for a moment? What happens when someone is cooking while someone else is getting ready for work?

How do you move between cooking, working, resting, getting ready, or simply taking a moment to yourself?

Sometimes these routines already exist, but sometimes, especially in a new home, they are still something to discover.

And so, creating a space that works means paying attention to all these little movements and moments that make up a day.
