It has been a while since I touched a paint brush or any paint at all. There is a saying that every season is different and it comes with changes. With me,through heartbreaks I went into shut down mode.
And at first, you don’t even notice it happening.
You just feel tired. Disconnected. Distant from the person you used to be.
The music doesn’t hit the same.
The laughter feels forced.
You go through the motions, but your soul feels paused.
But here’s the quiet truth about emotional shutdown:
It is not weakness.
It is survival.
Slowly I pick up my tools, my paints and we shall see where this art piece rises on someone's wall🙏🏾
