2 new homes found for the give away boards for the 5 day mothership kayak fishing trip out to Great barrier and Arid Island.

Bounty hunter charters board to Nick Collet for being the gun angler of the trip.

The process of creating a unique cutting / serving board.

Step one come up with a design

Step 2 engrave onto the board

Step 3 fill with resin. In this case clear.

Step 3 and 4. Sand and finish.
Initial sand with 80 grit to remove the majority of the overflowed resin. Then water pop to raise the grain before going over with 120grit. Then water pop once more before a final sand at 240grit.

Once sanded the board then gets a liberal coat of mineral oil and left to sit for a while before buffing off then applying a coating of our jaw balm cutting board finish.

A busy weekend in the shed producing some new boards for the Snells Beach Community Market on the last Sunday of the month as well as a custom order.
