To give anyone a price on cut-to-size stone, a lot has to line up first.

You have to like it. The true spec gets agreed on. Then quotes come from the quarry, shipping, customs, trucking and delivery to site. Every step has its own timeline.

A patio like this one is a good example. Every border band, octagon insert and step tread was cut to size so it fits together on site.

If it was easy, everyone would do it. We run the whole chain so your stone shows up ready to set.

The same stone from the living room to the backyard.

This home runs one limestone straight through the glass. The color and character stay the same. Only the finish changes: smoother and softer inside, textured for grip and weather outside. The house reads as one continuous space.

Stone Atelier supplies natural stone in interior and exterior finishes, cut to size for floors, steps, treads and paving. Come see and feel both finishes in person here in North Georgia.

Already have a builder? We can still help.

Homeowners, contractors and designers send us architectural drawings, landscape site plans, 3D models, sketches and AI inspiration. Our design team turns those concepts into shop drawings and permit documents. Stone Atelier cuts the stone to the drawings so it arrives ready to set.

Use us for one piece or the whole project.

A high-end construction or backyard can involve a dozen trades. Someone has to hire them, schedule them, get the inspections passed and answer for the result.

As a licensed Georgia Residential General Contractor, that’s our job. You get one contract and one schedule, and your permits are pulled under our license. Electrical, plumbing and gas go to licensed specialists. You call one number for everything.

We design it, we build it, and the stone comes from our own studio.

Permits are where high-end projects slow down. We’ve seen jobs take one to two years to reach final.

Homeowners get a clear path to final inspection. Contractors get permit-ready plans and a partner who knows the review process. As a licensed Georgia GC, we build these projects ourselves too.

On a $250K to $1M+ project, the plans carry the whole job. Start early.

A general contractor license is easy to misunderstand. Most people think it is a piece of paper you need to build a house. In Georgia it is required for any residential construction over $2,500, and that includes your backyard.

More than that, it means the contractor has been tested on the building codes, has proven experience, carries insurance, and answers to a licensing board. On a high-end outdoor living project with a pool, retaining walls, a pavilion, an outdoor kitchen, and the permits that go with all of it, that matters.

There is one detail that matters most. A residential contractor cannot personally do electrical, plumbing, or gas work. Those have to be licensed trades. A GC is the one who brings them in, coordinates them, and takes responsibility for the whole project. That is the job.

Daydream Design and Build holds a Georgia Residential General Contractor license, RBQA008500. High-end outdoor living, home renovations, and new construction. We design it, permit it, build it, and cut the stone it is built from.

Work with someone who has been tested on the standards your project will be inspected against. Ask for the license number. Look it up at https://goals.sos.ga.gov/GASOSOneStop/s/licensee-search

October is spec season. If you are an architect, landscape architect, or builder with a spring 2027 install on the books, the stone selection needs to happen this month.

Quarry-direct natural stone has real lead times. Work backward from an April install: material clears freight in March, ships in February, gets cut and finished in January, the order is placed in December, sizes and finishes are confirmed in November. That leaves October for selection and specification.

Miss October and you are looking at a summer install.

Send us the drawings. We build a full 3D model of every piece, confirm finish, size, and thickness to your detail, send shop drawings for your approval, and deliver material labeled and sequenced for install. Beige and grey. Cut to size.

Call us at 770-334-7593 or email your drawings and plans to [email protected].

Real stone or the cheap stuff. From the street on a good day they can look the same. Up close, and five years in, they are not.

Full-bed veneer is three to five inches of real dimensional stone with depth at every corner and weight in every shadow line. Thin veneer is a one-inch product glued to the wall. On a custom home it is the wrong material.

We supply architectural grade stone cladding cut to your exact spec, custom finish, custom size, custom thickness. Rock-face, split-face, honed, bush-hammered, ashlar. Fabricated to your elevation drawings and 3D modeled before a single piece is cut.

We meet you on site in North Metro Atlanta. We bring samples. We gather site data and work with your architect and existing drawings. Part of your team or the whole team.
