We have a couple night pictures of the Historic Kurtz Stone Barn, circa 1813 that was relocated from Millersburg Ohio to Houston Texas.
This barn can now be easily seen headed south on Dairy Ashford/ Beech Road intersection.
The photos bring a whole new meaning to “ It’s a Beaut Clark “

Kevin and I are at the Grand opening of the new Alief School District agricultural center.
Within the 5 acre development the school district purchased from Ohio Valley Barn Salvage the Historic Kurtz Stone barn dated June 23, 1813.
OVBS carefully restored the barn and shipped it to Houston Texas along with 70 tons of the stone walls. It is such an amazing structure!!!!!
This is a culmination of 20 years chasing a passion that is now fulfilled.🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

As Day 4 comes to an end on the reassembly of the Historic Barth/ Wallace , a deep sense appreciation settles in as the OVBS team looks over 4 days of perseverance.
Great weather and great team allows for impressive production!
Full undercarriage and all of the barn frame complete and locked in.
The new owners setting for the barn is perfect.

Day 2 assembling the Historic Barth / Wallace repurposed barn frame , circa 1830’s.
The heavy timber undercarriage went together like clock work.
All of the hard work restoring the these timbers paid off today!
It is still such a rewarding feeling putting back up a 200 year old barn and have it fall right back into place.
It was a good day for the OVBS team👏👏👏👏

Day 1 for the barn raising of the Historic Barth/ Wallace repurposed barn near Cuyahoga Falls.
This impressive 35’x52’ , circa 1830’s barn was cleaned and fully restored at the Sycamore yard.
The new owners not only bought the main frame , but also the basement Timbers.
The basement Timbers are some of the largest we have seen in a long long time.
The (2) primary carriers are an impressive 12” tall x 15” wide x52’ long.
The under ties are 12” tall x15” wide x35’ long.
The basement timber were carefully lowered into place today.
Nice Indian summer day to start this amazing transformation

Ohio Valley Barn Salvage is pleased to offer for sale “ The Historic Todd Repurposed Barn frame , circa early 1870’s.
This frame has 3 bay spacing at 22’-19’-26’ .
This floor plan is just about wide open !
Beautiful saw cut white oak uprights with 40’ hand hewn tie beams.
This frame is in pristine condition and ready to live another 200 years as a barn home, event space / or historical barn.
For all those barn junkies that follow OVBS you will notice a massive 1830’s under carriage below the barn frame.
Pretty sure we have what we refer to as a “ Blow Over” barn.
The original upper frame most likely landed in a nearby field after a tornado came thru.
The bottom Timbers and flooring are from the late 1830’s” She’s a Beaut Clark”

Restoration continues in Sycamore on the Historic Barth repurposed barn frame , circa 1830’s
Sam Hill begins his official apprenticeship into timber frame restoration.
This morning he is cutting in matching rafter plate pockets on the 10”x12”x52’ low rafter plate.
He’s officially fallen into “ The Rabbit Hole”

We have some updated photos of the Historic Kurtz Stone Barn that will be used as a public event space / learning center for the Alief School District in Houston Texas.
