A little piece of my past, still part of my home today.

I’ve always loved the idea of collecting pieces that stay with us through different chapters of life. I chose this Tiffany china when I was just 26, as my very first set of china for my home. While it’s beautiful on its own, it’s the memories and stories it has collected over the years that make it even more special to me.

A collected home takes time, and sometimes the most meaningful pieces are the ones we’ve had all along.

It’s as simple as that! 🤍

My grandmothers taught me so much about the beauty of tradition, the importance of family, and the stories we carry through the things we cherish. Although I miss Nana dearly, I find comfort in knowing that her traditions and the little things that made her so special will continue to live on through our family.

Whether it’s a piece of jewelry, an article of clothing, or simply a tradition passed down, these are the things that keep our memories alive. I hope to carry those same lessons and traditions on for generations to come.

A Collected Home Takes Time.

Some of my favorite pieces are those that carry a story. Whether passed down from my grandmothers, remembered from my childhood, or discovered in a local antique shop, I have always loved finding pieces with a history worth preserving.

This French antique desk is particularly special to me, as I purchased it from the first designer I ever worked with and an early mentor of mine. Paired with these reupholstered antique chairs, it’s a beautiful reminder of how old pieces can find new life while holding onto the stories and people that make them meaningful.

I believe the most meaningful spaces are collected over time, filled with things we love, memories we cherish, and stories we hope to pass on.

A beautiful home isn’t created overnight. It’s collected, one special piece at a time.

Feeling nostalgic today thinking of Nana and my childhood. This picture makes me smile. My brother and I grew up watching TV together on this little blue sofa, shown in Hamilton’s childhood room and now located in my office next to my desk.

My grandmothers taught me about quality and everything in the home being part of its story. I hope to trend away from mass production and back to collecting items that are special enough to still enjoy 50 years after their initial purpose!

My sister did a sweet photoshoot of me with Nana. What a gift to see her so beautiful in her nineties, smiling, loving and witty as ever. She was my role model in so many ways, hard working, caring and full of grace. I know she is smiling on me from Heaven, thank you God for blessing me with an incredible woman who never let me loose sight of You and the power we have to be the light in this lifetime. Love you Nana.❤️

When our earthly light turns to angel wings, hard not to hold onto those we love the most. Human connection is an incredible gift, may Nana’s light continue to shine. I am so grateful for her endless insight and grace. 🕊️

Our first design teachers are often the people closest to us.

The way we create a home, the pieces we choose to keep, and the spaces we make for others are shaped long before we ever call it “design.”

This month, we’re reflecting on the beauty we inherit and the beauty we pass on—from our first design teachers, to homes collected slowly over time, spaces made for conversation, and the heirlooms we’re creating today.

And a very happy belated birthday to my mom, one of my first and most lasting influences. ❤️

As one month comes to a close, we turn our attention to what gives the spaces we create their deepest meaning: the people within them.

Design has always been about more than what we see. It’s about gathering, sharing, slowing down, and creating room for the moments that connect us. Every piece, every material, every thoughtful detail becomes part of the way we live alongside one another.

This month, we’re exploring human connection and the role our homes, our craft, and our surroundings play in bringing us closer.

Here’s to spaces made not simply to be admired, but to be lived in, shared, and remembered.

The next generation of furniture shouldn’t be disposable.

In a world of fast furniture and mass consumption, we believe in slowing down, choosing intentionally, and investing in pieces that are made to outlive us. Furniture should be more than something we replace with the next trend. It should become part of our story, gathering memories and eventually finding a home with the next generation.

Less disposable. More meaningful. Heirlooms over trends.
