We bought our minivan off Facebook Marketplace. It was 2021 and we were caving: moving to suburbia after more than a decade of living in cities. Pregnant with our third child, I resigned myself to the Honda Odyssey that I now love. ☺️ My husband was the one who found the seller and since it didn’t seem too shady, we went for it. It turned out great. And that introduced me to the world of wonders on Facebook Marketplace. When people come into our home, I am often asked where I’ve purchased our furnishings and decor. More often than not, my reply is, you guessed it: fbmp. We have also been given beautiful heirlooms and antiques, picked up beautiful leather chairs from a street in Manhattan (that’s an interesting story for another time), and buy the occasional enticingly priced goodies at HomeGoods. But all in all, most of our house has been thrifted. It’s a creative outlet for me and it feels like a fun game of treasure hide and seek, awaiting a discovery and a deal. I’ve been searching for runners for about a year and finally stumbled upon three of these babies this week. I love the feminine touch they add to our hardwood floors!
