We had a great time at the Missouri State Fair! The Dairy Goat Show went well. I'll do a post soon on who placed where. And of course, we always enjoy seeing all of our dairy goat friends.

We definitely had some hiccups getting to the fair, but we had some awesome friends help us out to get us there!

When we weren't showing goats we were out and about on the fairgrounds. The kids always love going to the 4H Building to see their projects displayed. Kelsey & Elliot both had sewing projects, Abby had an awesome photo she took, and Katrina had a cute cake she decorated!

We appreciated the AC in the newly upgraded building although we can't have too many complaints as the weather was pretty good while we were there.

When breeding season rolls around, how do you keep track of everyone’s due dates?

A. A beautifully organized spreadsheet
B. A planner or calendar

Well… hello there. 👋

It’s been a little quiet around the OKAE Homestead page lately.

Not because nothing has been happening—more like *too many* things have been happening. Between work, family, goats, the homestead, and trying to keep all the plates spinning, posting here slipped somewhere near the bottom of the chore list. 😅🤷‍♀️

But I’m going to do better sharing the helpful, funny, and occasionally chaotic side of homestead life with you.
