Getting these pears ready for preserves! I’m peeling, coring, and slicing them up, then they’re getting covered in sugar to sit overnight. Tomorrow we’ll cook them down into some good ol’ homemade pear preserves. 🫙

I honestly have no idea how many pears I peeled, but I can tell you it was enough to give me a blister. That’s how you know it’s the real deal!

Life has been busy, but the homestead has definitely been doing its thing.

I’m so thankful for every little thing the Lord has provided for us to preserve.

Happy Sunday!

One thing God has been teaching me lately is that I don’t have to defend myself to everyone anymore.

Sometimes people will hear one side of a story. Sometimes they’ll form opinions based on incomplete information. Sometimes they’ll believe things that simply aren’t true. And that’s okay.

I’ve realized that my job isn’t to chase down every misunderstanding or convince people to see my heart. My job is simply to live the best that I can regardless of the demons I face, to keep following God, and let Him handle the rest.

And if you’re walking through something similar, feeling misunderstood or carrying the weight of what others think about you, I hope you remember this:
God sees you. He knows the full story, and He’s fighting battles you can’t even see. Keep your eyes on Him. He’ll take care of the rest.

At the end of the day, the only opinion that truly matters is His.

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
-Exodus 14:14
