Before the new bathroom goes in, the real work happens under the floor. We saw-cut the concrete slab, trenched it for the new plumbing lines, and hauled all the debris away.

Why go to the trouble? Opening the slab properly lets us set new drains at the right slope, so there are no shortcuts and no surprises once the tile is down.
