oh hi, lakes area 📍🤍
Alexandria has always felt a little like home. Happy to be back—with a tape measure and a LUNDHAUS sign this time.🤍

One woman band over here. 🎶📐🤍

Designer. Drafter. Field measurer. Project coordinator. Photographer. Email sender. Sample hauler. Professional second-guesser of measurements. 😂

When you own a small design business, you wear a LOT of hats—and sometimes that means heading back into the field to verify every last measurement before a new project gets rolling.

Just a little behind-the-scenes of what goes into the pretty stuff you eventually see. 🤍

Parents… this one’s for you. 🤍

With the kids heading back to school and life settling into a routine, now is one of the best times to begin planning your next home project.

Whether you’re dreaming about a kitchen remodel, a new build, or finally updating the spaces that no longer work for your family, the best projects start long before construction does.

Start planning now, so next spring you’re hosting graduation parties—not wishing you had started sooner.

And while you’re at it… imagine holiday dinners, birthday celebrations, Sunday mornings, and everyday moments in a home designed around the way your family actually lives.

Design first. Build second.

Thoughtful planning leads to better decisions, smoother construction, and a home you’ll love for years to come.

📅 My fall design calendar is now open. If a remodel or new build is on your horizon, let’s start the conversation today so you’re ready when it’s time to build.

Welcome to HAUS TALK. 🏡

Ever saved a photo and thought, “I love this… but I have no idea why?” Or found yourself saying, “I know what I want—I just don’t know what it’s called.”

That’s exactly what HAUS TALK is for.

In this series, I’ll take inspiration photos and break them down into simple, practical design terms you can actually use in real conversations. From cabinetry and tile layouts to lighting, trim, architectural details, and everything in between, we’ll decode the words behind the design.

Because design isn’t just about having good taste—it’s about having the language to communicate your vision with confidence.

Whether you’re talking with your builder, designer, contractor, or spouse, my goal is to help you spend less time saying, “You know… like this?” and more time confidently explaining what you love.

Think of this as your growing design vocabulary.

One inspiration photo. One design term. Better design conversations. 🤍

Current obsession: Sherwin-Williams Cadet.

Consider this your unofficial LUNDHAUS color of the season.

From dusty demo days and sample boards to nearly finished kitchens and bathrooms, it’s been making an appearance on jobsite after jobsite lately—and for good reason.

It pairs beautifully with creamy cabinetry, warm wood tones, natural stone, marble, and matte black fixtures, somehow feeling both fresh and timeless every time.

Swipe through for a little mix of jobsite moments, progress photos, and the beautiful chaos in between. The finished reveal is only half the story. 🤍

Comment CADET below, and I’ll mail you a paint sample so you can see it in your own home. 🤍 (U.S. only.)

It started with one client.

Today, every 📍 on this map represents one or more LUNDHAUS projects since opening—each one completely different, each one designed around the people who call it home.

New builds. Remodels. Refreshes. Spaces reimagined to better support everyday life.

Looking at this map reminds me that businesses aren't built overnight. They're built one client, one referral, one relationship, and one home at a time.

Thank you for inviting me into your homes and your stories, and trusting me with one of your biggest investments. I don't take that trust lightly.

I can't wait to see where the next pin lands. 🤍🏡

P.S. This map features the local(ish) projects—there are a few out-of-state homes that didn't quite fit, and I'm equally grateful for those clients, too. 🤍

A new home. Familiar stories. A beautiful new chapter. 🤍

There’s something incredibly special about creating a home that doesn’t leave the past behind—it carries it forward with intention.

This week, I had the privilege of spending the day on-site, styling each room and thoughtfully layering treasured heirlooms, well-loved furnishings, and carefully sourced pieces until everything felt like home.

Because the most meaningful luxury isn’t something you buy. It’s something you build over time. 🤍

A view that has never existed before. 🤍
Not in the original house.
Not in the listing photos.
Not during the walkthrough.
Not even on closing day.

After a cross-country move and more than a few homes falling through, this client was ready for a fresh start. When she finally found the one, we began reimagining how the home could better support the life she was building in this new chapter.
What you’re looking at is a brand-new view—created by relocating walls and thoughtfully reallocating square footage throughout the home.

A new hallway.
A dedicated drop zone.
A main-level laundry closet.
A larger primary suite.
A more functional primary closet.
Spaces that didn’t exist before, but somehow feel like they always should have.

These are the moments I love most—the point where vision starts becoming reality and you can finally stand in a space that once only existed on paper.

And if you’ve ever walked through a home and thought, “This layout just isn’t quite right,” sometimes the answer isn’t a different house—it’s seeing the one you’re in a little differently. ✨🏡🤍

Hi, I'm Morgan — owner and designer behind LUNDHAUS Interiors. 👋

I help homeowners navigate remodels, new builds, and design decisions through thoughtful planning, detailed documentation, and spaces designed for real life.

My days are spent reviewing floor plans, refining layouts, coordinating selections, solving design challenges, and helping clients make the hundreds of decisions that come with creating a home.

I believe:
• Function should come before finishes.
• Lighting matters more than paint.
• Good design solves problems.
• Homes should be beautiful, but they should work beautifully too.

Around here you'll find design inspiration, remodeling advice, behind-the-scenes project updates, floor plans, construction details, and a glimpse into the process that happens long before the furniture arrives.

When I'm not designing, you'll likely find me chasing my toddler, teaching bungee fitness, at CrossFit, or spending time with my family.

I'm so glad you're here. 🤍

Tell me—are you remodeling, building, decorating, or simply gathering inspiration?
