This was such a fun project to be a part of! Who wouldn't love a studio space like this! 😍

When Julia McGuigan moved into a home in Benson with her husband Matthew, she decided to create a studio in the detached garage.

As a mom of two young children, having a studio on her property has allowed her to have more flexibility with her work time. Now, she can work after they go to bed or while they’re at daycare.

“It’s nice to have it at home, but in a separate part of the home,” Julia said. “Because if I bring my art in, it seems to seep into life and feel like something mundane. My garage studio is a place where I can create and a little warehouse where I do the packaging and storing.”
