The arrowhead never disappoints.

A recent trip up north to four different projects, all in various phases of construction, was Our projects range from an addition to one of the oldest log cabins in Cook County to a new log cabin on Lake Superior and while there, we were able to maximize our productivity while still embracing the solitude these lands have to offer. Special thanks to our hosts themayhewinn our favorite place to land. Stay tuned for more photos and progress!

The 2026 Homes by Architects Tour AIA Minnesota did not disappoint! We loved the collective architectural diversity and - the gardens - WOW! Bravo to all of the tour homes, thank you for opening your doors! ❤️🙏

It's that time of year again! We are so excited to tour the AIA Homes By Architects this weekend. We have featured five homes on the tour over the years. It is a BIG ask for clients to open their doors to their pristine new home, and also a LARGE effort for the builders and architects who take great care and time ensuring everything is perfect.

Last year our office took a break from showcasing and experienced the tour from the other side - via limo! We had so much fun that it has become an office tradition (as long as we don't have a home on the tour of course). As tour-goers, we loved running into so many familiar faces, including design enthusiasts who fly and drive in from all over the country just to see these incredible homes.

To this year's tour participants: thank you for opening your doors and sharing your beautiful work with the community.
AIA Minnesota Thank you for making this event possible.
We can't wait to see you tomorrow!

31 Oaks, a place where modern design meets the savanna.

Nestled within a rare White Oaks Savanna lot, our latest construction start—31 Oaks—takes its name from the 31 mature oak trees shaping the property. Designing for this narrow lot, positioned between a wetland and a berm, required an innovative architectural solution.

The resulting single-family home features a seamless flow, highlighted by a cantilevered w**e deck that draws you toward the property's northern grove. Inside, a concrete fireplace anchors a floating living room, which cleverly protects the tuck-under garage below. Topping the home is a rooftop deck equipped with garden planters, offering a secure, elevated haven for growing herbs and vegetables.

Endless Possibilities

Welcome to

Born from a builder's extensive travels and experiences across countless cities, this home was envisioned by the owners as their .

Designed with heavy timber post and beams, Grand Central takes an honest and structured approach towards residential living in a historic lumber town. Clad with Vetter Stone Company and steel, the home also speaks to the owner's past projects including work on the Target Field stadium.

Located in the heart of Grand Central is more than just a residence—it is a central gathering space designed to welcome family and friends. It is the perfect backdrop for sharing stories of the past and building memories for the future.

BGood Remodel; the nearly 18-year-old design has been behaving well into adulthood! One of our first projects called for a new stair to a new primary suite. The stair was designed to house the homeowners vinyl collection and turntable. The attic-turned-primary suite incorporates new windows so that their pups Oscar and Gracie could look out from their beds. The design kept the old attic rafters complete with the old k**b and tube holes and captured new light. Great design doesn't age, but you can swipe to see the before photo and a much younger Sara and Naomi.
