Last night was a little reminder that sometimes, the nights that don’t go as planned give you something you didn’t even know you needed. 💜✨
The rain definitely put a damper on sales, but while dancing in the rain was fun, my favorite moment was sending Aisy off to explore the vendor booths, only to turn around and find her on stage dancing with the band… wearing the poncho I made for her. 🥹💜 In that moment, every bit of stress and disappointment felt worth it. THAT is a memory you can’t put a price tag on.
Somewhere between the rain showers and the music, I looked at my booth and realized just how far The Wicked Den has come. Back in March, I started with a handful of mushrooms and a dream. 🍄 Now, I’m showing up with all kinds of handmade treasures, and complete strangers are falling in love with things I create with my own two hands. I’m genuinely beaming with pride.
But if I’m being honest, building something for yourself is HARD.
It’s hard putting yourself out there when you don’t always feel like you have a big cheering section. It’s hard to keep showing up when the results aren’t what you hoped for. You can be proud of yourself and still feel defeated sometimes. Both things can be true.
But businesses are built brick by brick, and The Wicked Den has its foundation. There’s still so much room to grow, and I’m learning to pivot, give myself grace, and keep believing in what I’m building, even when it gets hard. 🧱✨
To everyone who has supported my little business, purchased something handmade, shared a post, stopped by my booth, or simply encouraged me along the way: thank you. Truly. You mean more than you know. 💜
Last night wasn’t a big sales night, but it was a beautiful night of community, music, laughter, and dancing in the rain with my girl.
I’m learning that sometimes, you have to be your own cheering section until the rest of the world catches up.
Thankful. Grateful. A little emotional. And still so damn proud. 🥹💜
We’re just getting started. 🌿✨
