Prebiotics vs. probiotics: you don’t have to pick one.

Probiotics add live microbes. Prebiotics feed the ones already in your gut. Most endurance athletes need both, since hard training, heat and travel all stress the gut.

Magnesium has a lot of different last names. Here’s the quick guide:

🌙 Glycinate: A popular pick for an evening routine, especially if you want something gentle on your stomach.
🧠 L-threonate: The form getting attention in research on focus and cognitive health.
🚽 Citrate: Well absorbed, with a reputation for getting things moving. Plan accordingly.
⚡ Malate: Often marketed for energy support, though it isn’t a pre-workout boost.

The right pick depends on your goal, the dose, and how your body responds. ➡️ https://bit.ly/4yC8h1b

M is for Mitochondria ⚡

Most athletes have never thought about their mitochondria. But they should — because this is where all endurance performance actually happens.

Mitochondria are the tiny engines inside your muscle cells that convert oxygen and fuel into energy. More mitochondria means higher VO2 max, better fat oxidation, and faster recovery between hard sessions.

Here’s the part most people don’t know: you can grow new mitochondria at any age. Zone 2 training is the primary stimulus. Carbs fuel the sessions that build them. Protein keeps them healthy.

Build the engine. Then fuel it. https://bit.ly/4BlpDRY

Fast miles start with the daily details. ⚡

For Vinny Mauri, that means getting intentional about carbs, hydration, and recovery. Testing what works, making adjustments, and building a fueling strategy that supports consistent, quality training.

When the margins get smaller, those details matter even more. From fueling long sessions to getting the nutrition he needs afterward, each day is an opportunity to learn what helps him train well and come back ready for the next one.

A massive effort on the world stage. 🌺

A hard-earned finish against the best in the world, followed by gratitude for the island and the drive to come back and do it again.

Huge effort, Cam. Proud to be in your corner. 👏

What an effort, Magnus. 🌺

A blazing 4:06:47 bike split put Magnus Elbæk Ditlev first onto the run. He built a 4:30 lead by mile 13.5 and stayed at the front for more than 21 miles of the marathon, chasing a world title with everything he had.

When the lead slipped away with 4.7 miles remaining, the fight continued. Every mile earned. Everything left on the course.

So much to be proud of in Kona. Proud to be in your corner.
