A little progress update from a main floor remodel we’re currently working on!
The new kitchen layout is really starting to take shape after opening up two walls and creating a much more open, functional space. The cabinets are mostly installed, including this large statement island!

We’re also giving the laundry room and den cabinets a fresh new look with a coat of paint. Lots of details still to come, but we’re loving how this transformation is coming together!

Stay tuned for the finished space!

Haven’t posted in awhile about the four seasons room we were building. He are some progress photos along with the finished project.

Tired of diesel prices being so much higher than gasoline. You would think they would want to help the truckers and contractors that rely on it for their business. Anyone else feel the same? I’ve never seen the spread this much before.

Testing the new trailer beyond capacity. Gross trailer weight capacity is 14,000lbs with a payload of 10,000lbs. Had 6 yds of topsoil loaded as that is what they told me it would hold ok at the landscaping company. That put the total weight including trailer at almost 19,000lbs! Needless to say I had to unload about 1-1/2 yds by hand first.

Progress report. We were able to finish up the exterior framing on the addition. Installed the windows and had the roofing also installed today.

Tomorrow we will start exposing the inside of the existing house as we go to widen the opening for French doors and windows. We will need to support the exterior wall to get a 12’ header in.

Moving along on the four seasons room. The exterior is framed in! Looking to get the rest of the Tyvek on, windows in and roof done next week along with opening up the interior wall to the house where we will be installing exterior French doors, windows and transom windows above all.
