In the heart of downtown Asheville, Restoration on Patton reimagines hospitality as more than just a place to stay. ✨

By blending luxury accommodations, dining, retail, and vibrant gathering spaces into one destination, our team helped create an environment that connects visitors with the energy of the city.

This project proves that great architecture, construction management, and interior design can forge new opportunities for unforgettable experiences.

Inspired, empowered, and energized!

AIA Charlotte hosted a Rise and Design Breakfast for in Architecture.

From meaningful conversations to powerful insights, this event addressed our roles in the modern world and created an opportunity for young architects to receive guidance.

Thank you to Emma Snell, Michelle Kingsley, Alex De La Cruz, Journey Roth, Allison Crews, Mattie Smith, and Nikkola James for attending and representing Progressive Companies.

It was a reminder that when architects support, mentor, and inspire one another, we help shape a stronger future for our industry.

Join us to celebrate the opening of our expanded Durham office! Our team has grown and so has our home. 🥳

We've moved into a larger space within the Mill1 Building, and we can't wait to show you around.

Stop by to tour the new office, meet the people behind our work in the Triangle, and connect over appetizers and drinks.

We're proud to keep building in Durham, and we'd love to celebrate with the people who've helped us get here.

When behavioral health needs rise, emergency departments are often the first place people turn. 🚨

But are healthcare environments designed to support both patients in crisis and the caregivers serving them?

Our Practice Leader Jonathan Clark lends insight into how thoughtful design can improve safety, dignity, and outcomes when the emergency department becomes the behavioral health safety net.

We will be exploring these questions, and what we have learned from emergency department and crisis stabilization projects across the Midwest, at the Midwest Healthcare Engineering Conference, Nov. 8–10, 2026, in Indianapolis. We hope you will join the conversation.

Sharing insight, shaping healthier futures! 🩺

Great healthcare spaces start with great conversations. We’re reflecting on a day of innovation, connection, and big-picture thinking.

Our Practice Leader Suzanne Schulz took the stage at the VSHE Seminar in Richmond, VA to present on “Saying Goodbye to your Old Hospital”.

Events like these remind us that design plays a vital role in supporting better patient, staff, and visitor experiences.

Thank you to the Virginia Society of Healthcare Engineers for hosting this seminar and to Suzanne Schulz for representing Progressive Companies.

Nothing brings people together quite like a little friendly competition and a bowl of chili. 🌶️

From secret family recipes to bold new creations, our Charlotte office chili cook-off served up plenty of flavor, creativity, and team spirit.

Congrats to our winners, and thanks to everyone who brought the heat.🔥

Proof that every square foot can make a difference. 🌱

By blending vibrant city living with ecological responsibility, The Garage Apartments in downtown Asheville proves that thoughtful design can help communities and nature flourish together.

We’re proud to have played a role in transforming its valuable rooftop space into a thriving pollinator meadow, helping reduce the urban heat island effect while supporting native ecosystems.

More than an architectural feature, this living roof is a reminder that even small interventions can make a lasting environmental impact.

The 2026 Fall Blockfest Competition is coming soon! 🧱

In November, students at East Carolina University will be competing in a design and craft competition overseen by our Project Manager Amber Idol. She’s helping judge this year’s masonry projects for the ECU College of Engineering and Technology.

The event will allow students to learn more about the concrete masonry units they’ll encounter in the future. It’s a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience.

We’re so excited to see what these future professionals create!

The New Home of an Undefeated Team! 🏈

Last month, Calvin University’s Knight Stadium opened its doors. Today, it’s already delivering the moments it was designed for.

This stadium is bringing fans together through shared excitement, unforgettable experiences, and an atmosphere that extends far beyond the game itself.

As the architect of this venue, Progressive Companies is proud to see the vision come to life in the energy of every crowd, every event, and every memory being made.

This is just the beginning of a destination built to inspire connection for years to come. Congratulations to Calvin University!

The best way to grow our industry is to give back to it! 📐 🌟

Mentorship creates pathways for the next generation of architects, engineers, and industry leaders. Our team members are proud to be a part of the ACE Mentor Program of West Michigan, a no-cost after-school program guiding high school students through mock design projects with professional mentors.

Our Structural Engineer Jacob Loew is the board chair for . He and other volunteers bring kids hands-on exposure to real design work that most students don’t encounter in the classroom. It’s a fantastic opportunity for future professionals to gain valuable insight, build confidence, and explore what’s possible in their future careers.

We can’t wait for this year’s sessions! To learn more about the ACE Mentor Program of West Michigan, visit https://www.acementor.org/affiliates/grand-rapids-mi/
