How do you begin to mourn a force of nature and beauty? A woman of immense talent, brilliance, heart, and compassion—a dear friend who was one of my greatest cheerleaders?
I mourn by following my heart and looking up, imagining her soaring spirit above, her light and laughter carried within each of us who adored her.
Amy Lau was a rare soul. From the moment we met years ago, there was an instant connection—a friendship that deepened with every shared moment and experience. Amy’s courage in the face of pain and adversity was nothing short of extraordinary. When she entered a room, the energy shifted. Her radiant light illuminated everyone she touched, and we were privileged to bask in her beauty—inside and out.
Amy lived fully. She shared openly, felt deeply, laughed generously, and cared with unmatched sincerity. She questioned, studied, advised, created, and inspired. Her curiosity and passion for life never waned, no matter the challenges she faced.
The world feels dimmer without her, but I find solace in the countless ways she made it more beautiful, in the love and joy she gave so freely to everyone lucky enough to know her.
Godspeed, dearest Amy. You will forever remain a shining light in our hearts.
