All of us at Builders FirstSource wish you a very joyous, happy and healthy holiday season!
Our Northwest locations recently put their creative hats on to get into the holiday spirit! We tasked our teams with building a holiday display incorporating a saw horse, duct tape, hammer, power tool of their choice, tape measurer, extension cord, ladder, level, and gloves!
Here are just a few of the masterpieces created.
Happy holidays! 🎄
To help our customers get into the festive spirit, we challenged them to create gingerbread houses! While we see incredible home builds on a daily basis, we loved seeing a different type of build this season. Thanks to all who participated!
Heads up to our customers - we will be closed this coming Friday for the holiday.
If you're looking to start your 2021 with new designs and are in need of some inspiration, we are here to help!
Here are 10 of the anticipated home trends for the new year, changes in the way we decorate, design, and live in our homes.
* Dedicated home offices
* Clearly delineated spaces
* Houseplants and indoor gardens
* Rattan accents
* Wood-grain kitchen cabinets and counters
* Next-level playgrounds
* Outdoor kitchens
* Smart bathroom innovations
* Retro furniture and color palettes
* Cozy, layered vibes
With all the stress that 2020 brought to our lives, it also influenced some defining changes in the way we decorate, design, and live in our homes.
Here are a few great things happening in the housing sector:
🛠️ Housing is taking the lead in lifting the nation out of the downturn
🛠️ Builder confidence is at an all-time high
🛠️ Record-low interest rates have renewed buyer traffic
🛠️ New-home sales are close to their highest level in 14 years
Looking ahead, the overall outlook for the housing sector is positive.
2020 was the year of working-from-home, and that is a win for housing.
The increased work-from-home opportunities have led to a shift in housing demand preferences, with home buyers and renters favoring lower-density suburbs and exurbs over large metropolitan areas.
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the significant increase in the ability to work from home is a win for housing and voters.
Winter can be a tricky season for safety personnel on home building job sites. Cold weather brings dangers to job sites that require special attention, and it's important to remain diligent. Here are some tips from the National Association of Home Builders.
