A few tips to prepare for rainy weather
-Replace any missing or damaged shingles
-Make sure gutters are clean and properly attached
-Check foundation walls for cracks, gaps and proper drainage
-Check around windows and doors (especially at the top) for cracks or gaps in the trim and caulking
-Inspect siding for gaps or missing paint.

Also remember there are several different types of caulking and sealers for several specific applications. Be sure and use the appropriate one to ensure adhesion. Feel free to message me for any questions or concerns.

The rain is here, how is your roof doing? Are your gutters clean and functioning properly? is there correct drainage around your foundation? are your foundation vents closed off yet? Colder weather is coming, so here are a few things to check while it is still warm out.

-Inspect/clean gutters and roof
-Check window and door seals
-Inspect ground condition around house foundation (ground must slope away from house at least 4 inches in 3 ft)
-Close foundation vents (manufactured homes)
-Have furnace serviced
-Remove any removable a/c units or cover non-removable ones
-Touch up any deteriorated exterior paint
-Complete any interior painting while it is warm enough to have windows open.
