I looked at my calendar this week and had one of those little wait… what?! 🥹✨ moments.

October hasn’t even started yet, and it’s almost completely booked. 🤍

My Saturdays are filling with weddings 💍, brand activations ✨, private parties 🥂, live engraving, leather foiling, and so many beautiful things I can’t wait to share.

And honestly? I’m just really, really grateful. 🥹

October 24 is currently my only remaining Saturday availability for the month. So if that date has been sitting quietly in the back of your mind, consider this your little nudge. 🤍

Meanwhile, November and December are already beginning to take shape… 👀✨

Holiday parties, grand openings, customer appreciation events, private gatherings, weddings, brand activations… if you’re dreaming something up, I’d love to hear about it and find a way to make the experience a little more personal. 🖋️🥂

Here’s to a very full October. 🤍✨

45 years. 💞

My mom and dad recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary, and I got to personalize the frame holding one of my favorite photos from their anniversary dinner.

I engraved their names and anniversary date into the frame, then filled the engraving with silver for a subtle little shine against the glass. And yes, wiping away that silver to reveal the finished engraving might be my favorite part. ✨

Happy 45th anniversary, Mom & Dad. Here’s to the memories you’ve already made and all the ones still to come. 🤍

August absolutely flew by. 😅

Between the start of the school year, work trips that turned into little vacations, and FINALLY finishing my boys’ bedroom renovation, I feel like I blinked and somehow it’s September.

Somewhere in the middle of all of that, I also spent part of my birthday at Margaritaville doing a little “work,” and I’ve gotten to spend quite a bit of time in beautiful model homes lately.

One of those was the Trilogy Evergreen Grand Opening in Conroe, where I engraved personalized candles for guests while they toured the new model homes. Several realtors stopped by my table that day and asked me the same question:

“What else can you personalize?”

Turns out, quite a lot.

And that question became the inspiration for my newest Journal post.

More Than a Closing Gift: Thoughtful Ways Realtors Can Personalize the Client Experience

I’m sharing ideas for personalized closing gifts, model-home grand openings, client appreciation events, home portraits, and some of the other ways realtors can make an already meaningful milestone feel even more personal.

A huge thank you to Chelsea and the team at Shea Homes Trilogy for having me and inspiring this one. ❤️

August absolutely flew by. 😅

Between the start of the school year, work trips that turned into little vacations, and FINALLY finishing my boys’ bedroom renovation, I feel like I blinked and somehow it’s September.

And somewhere in the middle of all of that, I almost forgot to mention that I spent part of my birthday at Margaritaville doing a little “work.” 😂🥰

I’ve gotten to spend quite a bit of time in beautiful model homes lately, including engraving personalized candles for guests at the Trilogy Evergreen Grand Opening in Conroe. And from some of the conversations I’ve had with realtors along the way, it looks like I may even have a few more model-home adventures in my future. 👀

(A huge thank you to Chelsea Marie and the team at Shea Homes Trilogy for inviting me to be part of such a beautiful grand opening and for giving me the inspiration behind this one. ❤️)

Which got me thinking…

What exactly does a realtor hire a calligrapher for?

Turns out, quite a lot.

Closing gifts are only the beginning. There are so many opportunities to make buying a home, visiting a grand opening, or reconnecting with past clients feel a little more personal.

So after taking a couple of weeks away from the Journal, this felt like the right story to come back with. ❤️

More Than a Closing Gift: Thoughtful Ways Realtors Can Personalize the Client Experience

I gathered some of my favorite ideas for closing gifts, grand openings, client events, and the little details that can help mark the moment a house becomes someone’s home.

A few weeks ago, I went to my first Friends Farmers Market Party.

We each arrived carrying 14 handmade items. We left carrying baskets filled with 14 little acts of love.

There were quilted pieces, flowers, sourdough, plants, bath salts, pottery, calligraphy, family recipes, and so many other things that had been grown, sewn, baked, written, or made by hand.

But the things we exchanged weren’t really what stayed with me.

Somewhere between filling our baskets, sharing an incredible meal, and talking about motherhood, faith, creativity, business, family, and just about everything else under the sun, friendships grew and community took shape.

This week on the Wofford Calligraphy journal, I’m sharing the story of that evening and what it reminded me about creativity, generosity, and the beautiful things that can happen when we make something and gather our people.

A huge thank you to Emma and my sister Jenna for creating such a beautiful evening, and to Rebecca for capturing so much of it so beautifully. ❤️

Every calligrapher starts somewhere.

After teaching another beginner calligraphy class at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston’s Rienzi, I found myself thinking about all the pages that came before the beautiful ones.

Every calligrapher begins with shaky lines, crooked ovals, and plenty of mistakes. The difference isn’t natural talent. It’s simply choosing to keep going.

Not everyone who picks up a pen will become a professional calligrapher, and that’s perfectly okay. Learning a craft teaches patience, attention, and the quiet satisfaction of making something with your own hands.

If you’ve ever thought, “I’d love to learn calligraphy someday,” this article is for you.

This past Saturday, I had the privilege of teaching a room full of beginner calligraphers at Rienzi. Watching students take their very first strokes reminded me that every skilled artisan once star…

Some crafts ask us to slow down.

Not because they’re difficult for the sake of being difficult, but because they’re shaped by practice, patience, and the person making them.

I hope we continue making room for work that’s unmistakably human. ✨
